DUTCH HOLLOW TRAILS ~ Snowshoe

Escaped to a beautiful area, overlooking the Heber Valley. A place away from all the crowds, hiking on a snow packed trail through sagebrush and gambel oaks. Enjoy seeing animal footprints in the snow. Jesus blessed us with a fabulous day!


Cottontail Loop & Heber Valley Overlook Loop

DESCRIPTION: Dutch Hollow Trail are part of Wasatch Mountain State Park.
Begin your hike near the restroom and hike to the ridge, turn right and take the Heber Valley Overlook. Enjoy great views of the area. After the loop, take the Cottontail trail down into the valley. At the Sage/Cottontail junction, take stay on the Cottontail back to the Summer parking lot/restroom.
HIKE TIME: 2 hours
MILEAGE: 2.5 miles
RATINGS: NEWBIES
RESTROOM available at the Summer parking lot.
DOG FRIENDLY: Keep your pet leashed and clean up.
DIRECTIONS from Salt Lake City, take I-80 east up Parley's Canyon, turn right on US 40 South, after passing Jordanelle Reservoir, at the stop light at the bottom of the hill turn right on River Road, turn right at Dutch Canyon and drive to the end of the road and park.
