LIVING ROOM

The Weber Pathways, Thursday evening group joined us on this foothill adventure.   The Living Room is an overlook above the University of Utah.  There are stone chairs and even a stone sofa to sit on.   And great views of the Salt Lake Valley.







DESCRIPTION:  Trail begins near the stop sign, at Wakara Way and Colorow Drive.  Once you reach the Bonneville Shoreline trail, turn right and head south.   Turn left and take a trail up.  Take the main trail on the south side of the gully, Georges Hollow.  Don't take any side trails.   On top of Georges Hollow turn left, and take the trail up to the living room.
RATINGS: MODERATE
MILEAGE: 1.3 miles each way
HIKE TIME:  Allow 2 to 3 hours.
ELEVATION: 950' gain
KIDS & DOGS enjoy this trail.
NO RESTROOMS available
DIRECTIONS: From Foothill Blvd, near the U of U, follow signs to Red Butte Gardens. Drive up Wakara Way and turn right on Colorow Dr and park.

Legacy Parkway


RED BARN FARM
God gave us a great Spring day to ride on the Legacy Parkway.  New this year, the trail has been extended 1/2 mile to the Red Barn Farm and connects with city streets.   Also at the Farmington/Lagoon Front Runner Station, is a large shopping center.

RATINGS: Moderate ride on pavement
RIDE TIME:  On mountain bikes, allow 2 to 3 hours.
MILEAGE: 12 miles each way.
RESTROOM:  Portable outhouse at Center Street trailhead, and at 2.5 mile marker is a park with restrooms.   Otherwise, visit a nearby gas station on Redwood Road.
GEAR: Water, sunscreen, jacket, flat repair kit, pump, helmet, gloves, camera, and energy snacks.
DIRECTIONS: From Center Street and Redwood Road in North Salt Lake, drive west.  Turn right on Foxboro, and make a left into the trailhead parking.
