DAYS FORK to ECLIPSE MINE

TRAILHEAD
DESCRIPTION:  Days Fork is a great place to escape the crowds.   Park on Big Cottonwood road outside of the Spruces Campground.   Walk up the south bound road, passing a restroom, and to a ball park.   Look for the Days Fork trail 023.   The hike starts with a steep hill climb, then it levels out. The second half of the hike is steeper with an intermediate grade.    We hiked to the Eclipse Mine, then went up the hill to the next mine, where we found a good place to eat lunch.  Die hards may want to climb the ridge and see Little Cottonwood Canyon.
