Snowbasin

A GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE NEW YEARS DAY HIKING IN GOD's MOUNTAINS

Description:  Begin your hike at the Maples trailhead on the road.   Walk toward the ridge and do not take the Art Nord trail down or go to the cross country ski loop to the left.  Look for a Ogden Canyon Overlook trail sign and map.  From there follow the packed snowshoe trail up to the ridge.  Take the trail to the left to the overlook.
On your return route consider taking the telephone pole trail back to the parking lot.
