BC Snowshoe

God blessed us with a little bit of sunshine, and fresh snow. What a great day to be with Jesus and wonderful friends. We saw children sledding down the tubbing hill. And adults pulling sleds full of camping gear, heading for the winter camp.

MILL D SOUTH FORK SNOWSHOE DESCRIPTION: We carpooled up Big Cottonwood Canyon to the parking area, near the sledding hill. Our adventure weaves between fir trees, through winter snow camps, and over the ridge to the Spruces campground. This is a avalanche safe area, hiking through the campgrounds and a place to learn snowshoeing.
RATINGS: Newbies
RESTROOMS: Spruces & Jordan Pines Campgrounds had one restroom open near the winter camping area.
HIKE TIME: 2 1/2 hours
DIRECTIONS: Big Cottonwood Canyon is located at Wasatch Blvd. & Fort Union Blvd. in Salt Lake City, Utah
