WATERFALL CANYON




We had a wonderful time hiking to Waterfall Canyon with Jesus.   


















RESTROOMS at trailhead if they are unlocked.
RATINGS: - Moderate
MILEAGE - 2.8 miles total
ELEVATION GAIN - 900'
KIDS enjoy this hike.
DIRECTIONS:  
        • From SLC drive northbound I-15,
        • you'll see the "US 89" exit 326 after driving by Lagoon,
        • continue on US 89 northbound to Ogden, 
        • drive past I-84 and continue on US 89 up a hill,
        • get in the right lane and turn right on Harrison Blvd,
        • turn right on 30th Street drive toward foothills,
        • turn left and drive to 29th Street
        • turn right on 29th Street and drive to the foothills to the trailhead.
        • Allow 1 hour drive time from SLC  
      GEAR:  Hikers must bring picture ID to enter the privately own canyon.
      Dog owners must bring plastic poop bags.
      Hiking stick or poles are highly recommended.
      You may get your shoes wet on this hike.
      Bring water, sunscreen, hat, rain jacket, camera, food, & first aid.

      MILLCREEK PIPELINE OVERLOOK





      It was great to hike between storms.   God blessed us with a great hike.



      DESCRIPTION:  Enjoy an energetic climb up Rattlesnake Gulch to the Millcreek Pipeline trail.  Take the trail west to the overlook of the Salt Lake Valley.   This trail is shared with joggers, mountain bikers, dogs and hikers.
      RATINGS: Moderate Plus
      MILEAGE: 3.4 miles round trip
      ELEVATION GAIN: 700'
      HIKE TIME: 2 hours
      DOGS:  Odd days off leash
      TRAILHEAD: Rattlesnake Gulch turnoff
      FEE:  Millcreek Canyon Fee $3 per vehicle 
      DIRECTIONS:  Enter Millcreek from Wasatch Blvd. and 3800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah

      MOUNT OLYMPUS to TOLCAT STREAM

      GRAND STAIRCASE


      We had a great day hike with Jesus, climbing half way up Mount Olympus to Tolcat Stream.
      JUNIPER TREE


      DESCRIPTION:  The trail begins with a Grand Canyon like staircase up to the old trail.  The trail winds up the mountain, with a few shaded rest areas under Juniper trees.  
      RATINGS:  Intermediate
      MILEAGE: 3.25 miles round trip
      ELEVATION GAIN: 1335'
      HIKE TIME: Allow 2 1/2 hours
      WILDERNESS AREA:  Group size is limited to 10
      GEAR: Take extra water, salty food, energy snacks, camera, hiking poles, and wear good shoes.   There are some loose rocks on the trail, and sandals might be a problem.
