MILLCREEK MYSTERY SNOWSHOE ADVENTURE




ANOTHER FUN DAY WITH JESUS!






DESCRIPTION:  Today we went up the road from the winter gate and made a loop coming down the Upper Pipeline Trail.
HIKE TIME: 2 hours 50 minutes
MILEAGE: 4 miles
RESTROOMS available along the canyon road.
DIRECTIONS:  Enter Millcreek Canyon from 3800 South and Wasatch Blvd, SLC, UT.   Drive up to the winter gate and find parking.
FEE: $3 per vehicle ($2 seniors) leaving the canyon.

SNOWSHOE 201

With fresh powder and God's presence in the mountains, this was the most popular day this year to head up Big Cottonwood Canyon.   









DESCRIPTION:  Today we took a group on a snowshoe lesson around Mill D South Fork and the Spruces campground playing in the snow.





MILEAGE: 2.7 miles total
HIKE TIME:  2 hours
PARKING:  Mill D South Fork by the restroom.
WATERSHED:  No dogs allowed in the canyon, including inside your vehicle.
RESTROOMS available in the campground area and parking areas.






DIRECTIONS:  Big Cottonwood Canyon begins at Wasatch
Blvd and Fort Union Blvd in Salt Lake City, UT

Millcreek Canyon Snow Hike

DIRECTIONS: Millcreek Canyon can be accessed from 3800 South and Wasatch Blvd, in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can leave extra cars at the park-n-ride lot on 3900 South & Wasatch Blvd. Drive to the winter gate at the Maple Cove picnic area.
DESCRIPTION: Enjoy walking up a snow covered road, shared with cross country skiers.  Do not walk on top of the groomed cross country ski track.



MILEAGE: We hiked 1.6 miles up the road to Elbow Fork and turned around.
ELEVATION GAIN: 660' 
RATINGS: MODERATE

RESTROOM: At the Maple Cove picnic area and Elbow Fork.
GEAR:  Snow boots, hat, gloves, water, and snacks.

DOGS: Clean up after your dog, and keep them away from skiers.   
KIDS enjoy this hike.
FEE: $3 per vehicle leaving the canyon. $2 for Seniors.

SNOWBASIN SNOWSHOE

RATINGS: Moderate
ELEVATION GAIN: 810'
MILEAGE: 2.5 miles to Coldwater Overlook.
HIKE TIME: 3 hours
TRAILHEAD: Maples Trailhead
DRIVE TIME: 1 hour to Snowbasin from Salt Lake City.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-15 northbound, after passing the Lagoon exit, take US 89 north, then I-84 east, take Mountain Green exit, and follow signs up the hill to Snowbasin.
